Where to Find Vegan Groceries

Shopping
You can now find soy milk, tofu, veggie burgers, and mock meats in pretty much every supermarket nationwide, including Wal-Mart, Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, and Target. If you don’t see a certain product at your local grocery store, just ask for it—store managers want suggestions from their customers, and they can usually special order products for you. Local health-food stores, along with health-food chains like Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, often have even wider vegan selections. Of course, a large percentage of the foods that you already eat are vegan, including many cookies, chips, breads, crackers, pastries, cereals, soups, and candies, along with staples like pasta, oatmeal, beans, nuts, rice, fruit, peanut butter, and, last but not least, vegetables.
