Vegan Delights Take Flight at Dragonfly Neo-V

Vegetarianism is for lovers—lovers of sublime gourmet food! One bite of the fanciful fare dished up at Columbus, Ohio’s eclectic Dragonfly Neo-V, and you’ll know what we mean.

Dragonfly Neo-V’s Ravioli Nachos, which Chef Magdiale Wolmark describes as “fun, whimsical, and a great introduction to vegan cuisine,” consist of deep-fried smoked-tofu-ricotta ravioli served with a Brazilian black bean feijoada and a picholine-olive mole sauce. The innovative Lotus Flower Tofu features smoked tofu that’s stuffed with bok choy and ginger, wrapped in rice paper, and fried. It’s served with strudel filled with shiitake mushrooms, dried cherries, and pumpkin seeds, as well as a trio of sauces—one hot, one sour, and one sweet. This is vegetarian dining at its gourmet best. No wonder local newspaper The Columbus Dispatch has included Dragonfly Neo-V on its top-10 restaurant list for three years running!
Outside Dragonfly Neo-V
The all-vegan menu at Dragonfly Neo-V, which changes seasonally, also features beautiful soups and salads, main dishes like Dragonfly Pizza Pie—topped with onions, green olives, mushrooms, peppers, and a lime-avocado cream—and Hot Curry Tempeh, as well as fine wines, “fly cocktails,” and a sinful selection of sweets. Says Chef Wolmark, “Everyone loves our chocolate desserts.”
Inside Dragonfly Neo-V
Chef Wolmark brings a world of experience to Dragonfly Neo-V’s kitchen, having worked in restaurants in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and even as far away as Caracas, Venezuela. Once he discovered “the profound joy and possibility” of vegan cuisine, he says that he “never looked back.” His love of fine food shows in Dragonfly’s delectable dishes. Raved one customer, “If I could cook like this all the time, I would be vegan.”

Now you can! Chef Wolmark has graciously shared some of his favorite recipes with us so that you can enjoy a taste of Dragonfly Neo-V in your own kitchen.
