With offerings such as “Poultry” in Motion soup, Black Pepper “Steak,” and Blackened “Tuna,” the menu at Boba House is enough to make even the most die-hard carnivores lick their chops—just don’t tell them it’s all vegetarian! Since its opening in August 2003, Boba House has been named vegetarian restaurant of the year by Greensboro, North Carolina’s Rhino Times newspaper and has become a favorite dining destination among local vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, serving up healthy, hearty, meat-free dishes in a “Zen-like” yet hip atmosphere.

Tate Street Melting PotThe incredibly fresh, creative offerings at Boba House keep loyal customers coming back again and again for their favorite culinary creations by Chef Jennifer. According to manager Kieuanh Ho, “We have so many regulars visiting us that now when we see them coming in, our kitchen staff starts cooking their meal.” House favorites include the Hula Pot, a sweet, aromatic curry served with rice or noodles and your choice of vegetables, tofu, or “duck” made mild, spicy, or “brain damage” (that’s really hot, if you couldn’t guess!); Eternal Bliss, a harmonious blend of “green treasures,” crisp broccoli, water chestnuts, baby corn, carrots, snow peas, and tofu, blended in a light sauce; and the Tate Street Melting Pot, seasoned rice cooked in a sizzling clay pot and topped with grilled “chicken” and a touch of Boba’s special grilling sauce.

Ma Po TofuFor a happy ending to your meal, choose from carrot cakes, cheesecakes, and lemon-coconut cake, all of which can be ordered dairy- and egg-free. Or, for a totally different experience, try a refreshing “bobalicious” Boba Tea smoothie, available in fun flavors like Cool Raspberry, Mango Bango, Chocolate Banana, and Creamy Avocado and served hot or cold, blended or on ice, and with your choice of coconut jelly, choobee, tapioca pearls, or all three.
