Dining Out: Follow Your Heart

PETA supporter Jill Bacchieri Jones:

I’ve been going to Follow Your Heart for years and always take friends and family when they come to town—I just can’t get enough of the place! My top tip is the Reuben, which is simply out of this world. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back, and there is a great veggie produce store attached to the restaurant. Whether you go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’ll soon see why this place is always packed, and if you’re lucky, you might find yourself sitting next to Follow Your Heart regulars Brandy, Mike Farrell, or Kevin Eubanks.

Philosophy

Located in Canoga Park in lovely Southern California since 1970, Follow Your Heart is both a natural-foods market and vegetarian restaurant. We are also the creators of Vegenaise, an all-natural, egg-free, and dairy-free mayonnaise alternative, as well as a complete line of Fresh & Natural Salad Dressings and many other specialty foods for people interested in a vegetarian or vegan diet or just in healthy eating.

We aim to provide healthful, nutritious food to the community for the benefit of our customers, ourselves, and the world we share and to demonstrate the value of a vegetarian natural-foods diet in attaining optimal health.
