Crispy Tofu Cubes

These yummy, crunchy cubes are an intriguing way to temp your guests’ appetite. It can also add a new dynamic as a side dish to a main course.

1 block firm tofu, patted dry
    3 Tbsp. nutritional yeast
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. oil

• Cut the tofu into 1/4-inch cubes.
• In a Tupperware container, combine the nutritional yeast, flour, garlic salt, and pepper. Add the tofu, and put a lid on the container. Shake well to coat.
• Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet. Add the tofu and cook over medium heat, tossing every few minutes until golden brown and crispy.
• Serve over noodles, or toss with fried or white rice and green onions.

Makes 3 to 4 servings
