‘Pack a Veggie Picnic’ Contest Winners

Pack a Veggie Picnic and Win! We received hundreds of delicious recipes for our “Pack a Veggie Picnic” contest and have narrowed them down to the top three—you won’t want to go on a picnic without these scrumptious creations!

We simply couldn’t resist three great recipes that came to us from Canada. Nineteen-year-old Ashley Carley, of Ottawa, Ontario, is studying hotel and restaurant management and loves anything “with fresh vegetables and herbs.” She devised a delicious, easy-to-make, and easy-to-take balsamic bruschetta. Thirteen-year-old Mesha Sagram, a third-generation vegetarian (and new vegan), wowed us with her yummy recipe for cinnamon logs. Mesha is also from Ottawa and plays the French horn and the piano when she’s not playing with her two feline friends. Last, but certainly not least, Alice Shelagh McEachern, of Surrey, British Columbia, created a potato salad recipe that we just couldn’t help falling in love with. Alice is a romance novelist who grows organic vegetables.

Now that you have a menu, all you need to do is throw some ice into a glass of lemonade, spread out a checkered tablecloth, and enjoy this delicious, nutritious, cruelty-free outdoor feast!
