‘Pack a Veggie Picnic’ Contest Winners We simply couldn’t resist three great recipes that came to us from Canada. Nineteen-year-old Ashley Carley, of Ottawa, Ontario, is studying hotel and restaurant management and loves anything “with fresh vegetables and herbs.” She devised a delicious, easy-to-make, and easy-to-take balsamic bruschetta. Thirteen-year-old Mesha Sagram, a third-generation vegetarian (and new vegan), wowed us with her yummy recipe for cinnamon logs. Mesha is also from Ottawa and plays the French horn and the piano when she’s not playing with her two feline friends. Last, but certainly not least, Alice Shelagh McEachern, of Surrey, British Columbia, created a potato salad recipe that we just couldn’t help falling in love with. Alice is a romance novelist who grows organic vegetables.
