Sandwiches

Sandwich fillings can be just about anything that you have on hand:
  • Stuff a baguette with lettuce, tomato, veggie bologna or turkey, and nondairy cheese slices. Add some mustard or nondairy mayo and you’ve got yourself a great sandwich.
  • Crunchy Vegan Wraps
  • Dress up a bagel with Tofutti cream cheese and olives or veggie salami.
  • Make a chicken-friendly Egg-less (tofu) Salad and serve on toasted bread.
  • Fill a pita with faux chicken salad. Try Worthington’s Chic-Ketts or Morningstar Farms’ Chik’n Strips mixed with vegan mayonnaise and celery.
  • Use veggie ham and salami as a base for a vegan version of the Creole classic the muffuletta.
  • Make a grilled “cheese” sandwich with soy cheese instead of dairy cheese.
  • Stuff a pita pocket with hummus, cucumber slices, and any other veggies.
  • On a hot day, fill a pita pocket with chilled Bean Salad for a super-healthy, satisfying meal.
  • Vegan Sandwichs
  • Peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and banana are healthy, delicious treats—no matter how old you are.
  • Vegetarian bacon, such as Fakin’ Bacon, makes a great filling for a vegan Reuben Sandwich.
